With reference to your letter, No. 53171/1918 of the 8th instant, transmitting a copy of a telegram from the Officer Administering the Government of Hong Kong enquiring whether any further recruits should be conscripted in that Colony and sent to India, I am commanded to say that the Army Council have decided, in view of the present situation, that further recruitment of men in Hong Kong for the Arzy should be suspended.
